BTM kicked off the competing year yesterday at Preston Guild hall, coming a respectable 4th in the 1st section. The competition has proved a useful way to begin preparations for the Area competition in March, which uses the same test-piece (Symphony of Marches, Gilbert Vinter). Under the auspices of Nigel Seaman who has agreed to conduct for the Area, we are confidant that we shall improve on last year's 6th place.
