The BTM Band recently competed in the "top section" (Championship Section) of the Welsh Regional Championships, for the first time in 10 years. What a feeling!
The result wasn’t what we’d hoped for, but the band onstage today was “our” band. No ringers, no last-minute borrows, but our emphasis on long-term stability in the last few years has paid off & we can’t be prouder of our performance today.
Soloists were great, including:
Seamus (Principal Cornet)
Owain (Soprano) -
Andrew (Flugel)
Kirsty (Solo Horn)
Jason (Solo Baritone)
Tim (Principal Euphonium)
Lloyd (Solo Trombone)
Andrew (Solo Eb Bass)
We will continue to build from here, with our focus on community & sustainability, and we look forward to competing in the Championship Section in 2026.
Our next concert is on 5 April in Caerphilly (Vanguard Centre); Rechoir we can’t wait!
